	Ministry of Justice reforms service introduced….. As you will be aware, on 30th April 2010 new regulations came into force to radically alter the way that personal injury claims are dealt with. The biggest challenge arising from these changes is encouraging claims to be reported quickly so that liability decisions can be made within the new 15 day period. Northern Assessors are offering a new bespoke service that will enable ourselves to quickly review cases where forensic engineering evidence could assist with a prompt decision on liability in relation to low speed impact claims and/or suspected fraudulent cases. Northern Assessors will provide an initial desk top review of assessors reports and images and advise on the relevant issues. WHAT DO WE NEED TO GET STARTED FOR YOU ? • Engineers Report(s) • Colour Images if available • Accident Claim/Report Form if available • Witness Statements if available WHAT DO WE DO NEXT ? Once we receive the provided the matter is quickly referred to one of our experts to assess the nature of the case and initial opinions made in relation to:- • Low speed impact cases • Liability • Possible Fraudulent claim BENEFITS OF THE NEW SCHEME TO THOSE INSTRUCTING OURSELVES ? Obtaining a quick Forensic Engineering opinion in the early stages can assist with proper handling of the clam and helps to reduce the following:- • Help to capture the correct cases in the early stages • Reduce time by communicating and reporting electronically. • Help to ensure that only the appropriate cases are subject to further investigation and legal intervention. Additionally this bespoke service can help to ensure that the correct type of cases are subject to further enquiries and litigation as appropriate WHAT IS THE COST INVOLVED ? The charge for an initial review of papers and advise being provided to the file handler is £75 + v.a.t. If further reports are required these will be subject to our normal professional charges.
